How to use this applet

Factorial notation is used in this applet to represent the number of different ways a certain amount of balls can be selected from a greater amount of balls! For example to calculate the number of ways 2 objects can be selected from 6 objects we do as follows:

= 6*5/1*2.......Start at 6 and go down 2 factors/Start at 1 and go up to 2
